Halle Berry is single: ex-boyfriend regrets the separation

The actress Halle Berry and her daughter's father have split up. "She is and always will be one of the most important people in my life," says Canadian male model Gabriel Aubry, signaling a peaceful separation.

The Oscar winner Halle Berry (43) and the Canadian supermodel Gabriel Aubry (34) have separated again after four years of relationship. The couple have a daughter, two-year-old Nahla. Aubry (Picture below), who works as a model, published a statement on Saturday May 1st through his agency Wilhelmina Models. It reads: "I am sorry to announce that Halle and I have decided to split up. No comment on all the wild rumors that are being speculated about in the media."

Aubry further affirmed that he and Halle will "only feel love and respect for one another" in the future. His statement was broadcast exclusively by the television station "Access Hollywood". In it, the model again expresses his admiration for the nine-year-old actress: "She is and will always be one of the most important and dearest people in my life." Prior to her relationship with Aubry, Berry was married to professional baseball player David Justice and singer Eric Benet.

Fast offspring

Halle Berry became a mother for the first time in March 2008. The actress and Gabriel Aubry were together for over two years at the time. Aubry says to daughter Nahla, "Her happiness and well-being are more important to us than anything else." Breakups are currently a big issue in American showbiz, Sandra Bullock, Melissa Etheridge and the professional blonde Paris Hilton have only recently decided to live as a single.
