Manfred Herrmann | Better archery with mental training

Archery is a matter of the head. The shooting technique trained in countless hours and the finely tuned material can only develop their effect if the mental setup is right. This book introduces the basics of mental training and supports the development of individual mental training through various tasks.
The topic of fear of gold is also explained towards the end of the book and shows how one's own fear of gold can be understood and overcome with the help of the methods and contexts imparted in advance.

“Better archery with mental training” is primarily aimed at active archers, but is also an interesting book for everyone else who is interested in mental training, as the relevant basics and exercises can easily be transferred to other topics.

Manfred Herrmann | Intuitive: archery with heart and mind

This book contains everything the intuitive archer needs. He learns which sheets are suitable, what the most important differences are and what to look out for when buying. It continues with a detailed arrow knowledge, including calculation of the spine value for the individual setup as well as instructions for the raw shaft test. Of course, all essential things such as stand height, personal draw weight, selection of the tendon and positioning of the nocking point are explained.
The second half of the book explains in detail a useful basic technique for intuitive archery and goes into the individual parts of the shooting process separately. The shooter learns how different aspects can affect the shot and is enabled by understanding the "basic principle of archery" to find his individual, meaningful shooting style. There are also tips for a meaningful training, as well as 5 “miracle exercises” that will help the intuitive shooter on his way.

The book closes holistically with answers to some frequently asked questions.

Manfred Herrmann | Meditative archery as a way

This book is aimed at already active archers who want to turn to meditative archery. Whether this happens out of the desire to improve the shot pattern, or whether the motivation to learn and practice meditation is in the foreground, is irrelevant. In meditative archery, we ultimately find something that goes far beyond the fulfillment of the expectations for which we originally started it.

It is not necessary to learn a new shooting technique or to use any specific equipment for meditative archery. Any form of archery can also become meditative archery.
Meditative archery as a path explains how this can be done. Archery is explained as both concentration and mindfulness meditation, whereby a simple approach is chosen that does not push in a certain religious or spiritual direction. Terms that are often associated with meditation, such as enlightenment, serenity and expectations, are also treated without any moral-religious accessories.

It is the same with the subject of performance shooters. Meditative archery and the decision to be a performance shooter are not mutually exclusive.

Manfred Herrmann | 9 treasures for intuitive arch people

If, in intuitive archery, we have often hit a shot at a certain distance and at a certain angle, but still miss it again and again, it can only be our head to blame. “Just shoot” is the most common advice the shooter then hears. But it is precisely this “just shoot” that very often does not succeed. Therefore, this book is all about the mental aspects of archery.

It shows the reader in a humorous way how his own thoughts can influence the shot and of course also shows ways and means for a meaningful handling of this challenge. This book is aimed at new and experienced "arch people" alike.

Manfred Herrmann | Intuitive archery for beginners

Intuitive archery has become increasingly popular in recent years, but it is still far from being a mass sport. As a result, many people who are fundamentally interested in this sport do not have access to it.
This book provides newbies with basic knowledge about getting started with intuitive archery.
A possible basic technique is explained, basic information about the mental aspects and, of course, the necessary equipment.
Of course, safety is not neglected either.
Suggestions for building your own targets and arrow catches round off the booklet.

Frequent misunderstandings are also cleared up - such as the false equation of intuitive, traditional and instinctive archery.
The book is aimed directly at the reader in "you", which is common among archers. The individual chapters are subdivided using questions that new archers ask themselves again and again in practice. In this case, no single “truth” is passed on, but those things that have proven to be necessary and sensible in practice for many beginners, without “killing” them with too much and too complicated theory right from the start.

Changes compared to the 1st edition: The chapter "A brief history of archery" has been added. The appendix now contains the short story "The Huntress", as well as a sample chapter from "Intuitive archery - The art of not standing in your own way"
Some small changes in content have been made.

Adam Swoboda | Archery with the thumb ring

Traditional archery with Asian bows has met with increasing interest in recent years. We still know little about the old shooting techniques, and buyers of reflex bows often do not really know how to use this type of bow.
This book by Adam Swoboda closes this gap in an excellent way. The author has studied the original sources and interpreted them in a way that is understandable for modern readers. This extremely difficult task required a thorough understanding of the equipment and in-depth knowledge of archery acquired through many years of practice.
In addition to detailed descriptions of reflex bows, the book contains information about the position of the archer when shooting, the correct grip and methods of drainage. In addition, there are also methods of aiming, which is often the most difficult art to learn.

Boris Ludz | The best trick shots for the traditionally intuitive archer

The book The Best Trickshots for the traditionally intuitive archer contains 35 instructions for trick shots, each of which is supplemented with a black and white sketch. What is required are some manual skills, practice in archery and of course the desire and mood for the perfect shot. With the hangmen shot, a rope has to be cut, an arrow shaft can be split by shooting an ax (darned ax) and precision is required with the coin trick. Many more tricks are waiting for you.

Boris Ludz | Gripping techniques in traditional archery

Archery is common around the world. In the modern world, the bow is mainly used as a piece of sports equipment, Olympic with targets or traditionally on a 3D course. With the indigenous peoples, the bow and arrow serve on the one hand as a status symbol or as a deterrent, on the other hand they continue to hunt and thus ensure survival in nature. The most diverse cultures with their bows and different uses have created a variety of grip techniques. Some have only been handed down historically, others have prevailed. This multitude of gripping techniques makes it clear: there is not just ONE kind of bow to shoot. It makes you want to try out and see what you like.

Boris Ludz | Archery and mindfulness

In this book, intuitive archery is combined with the relaxation technique "mindfulness". Mindfulness shows the way to a state of inner calm and contentment, helps to let stressful thoughts and feelings pass by and to remain able to act.Mindfulness describes a certain form of directing attention, in which one concentrates on the experiences that can be experienced in the current moment. This means that attention is drawn to the present, the here and now, to what one is currently perceiving, feeling, thinking and doing without getting caught up in memories or future plans.
