Why can't my USA visa be filled out?

Entry into the USA

Further information regarding US immigration controls:

When entering the USA, more detailed controls of people entering the USA are currently being carried out at 115 airports and 14 seaports as part of the US-VISIT program. Among other things, fingerprints are recorded and digital photographs of the face are made. This process usually only takes eight to ten seconds. This means that biometric features (fingerprints, digital photos) are also saved for all Austrian citizens when they enter the United States during border control. These data are confidential and only accessible to legally authorized persons for business purposes.
Questions and complaints should be directed to the US-VISIT Privacy Officer, US-VISIT Program, Border and Transportation Security, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Washington, D.C. 20528, USA, Tel. 00-1-202 298 5200 or Fax 00-1-202-298-5201.

Always make sure that the white or green I-94 card, which is stuck in the passport upon entry, is handed over upon departure (this is usually removed by the airline at check-in). In the course of a pilot project, foreign persons departing from some of the larger US airports are encouraged to carry out their departure fully electronically on their own; In this context, please pay attention to the US Visit label or ask airport staff members whether there is a US Visit kiosk in the departure area. The responsibility for proper exit registration rests with the departures themselves and not with the US authorities. Unregistered departures could lead to increased problems with re-entry in the future. However, should you accidentally leave the country with the white or green I-94 card, you can contact the US embassy in Vienna from Austria.
