How do you think about ICOs

Mental health in Cologne. Regulars' table for 18 to 25 year olds.

Hello my dears,

Before I say a few words about myself and the reason I'm writing to you, I want to get rid of one important thing: I think it's great what you do! Make sure to keep it up. Education about mental illness is so important and unfortunately it still falls short in our society!

Now to me and my concerns: My name is Lina and I have been studying psychology in Hamburg for about a year. In conversations with friends and relatives who do not come from the psychological field, I have noticed again and again what misconceptions many people still have about mental illness. Lately I have dealt intensively with the topic and also reflected on my own school days. I noticed that while my school had numerous drug prevention events, not once did anyone come by to explain to us students that mental illnesses exist and that they are as real as purely physical illnesses. When I looked for an organization in the Hamburg area for the first time on the Internet that is committed to educating people about mental illnesses, I was shocked when I didn't really find what I was looking for. With such an important topic, which affects all of us - be it through our own experiences or those affected by acquaintances - it cannot really be that there is not really someone who is committed to "psychoeducation" in schools.

In response to a call to the dedicated group of Mission Inclusion (of which I am a part), not only did others involved in the topic respond, but also someone who mentioned yours. I will get in touch with you now because it is very important to me to bring projects like the ones you organize to Hamburg and other German cities. I am very interested in working with you and I think I can learn a lot from you in terms of designing projects to educate people about mental illness. Feel free to get in touch if you are interested in a more detailed discussion about a potential collaboration. I would love to hear from you!

Lovely wishes
Lina
